A different Christmas show, funny yet reverent, that does not demand a fully-equipped theatre. This is an hour-long modernization of half a dozen English Miracle Plays. The originals overflowed with contemporary humor when first done, yet the underlying faith always shone through. Enjoy the friendly opening as the players share Christmas candy with the audience, watch God create the universe (including your hometown), boo the villain Satan, recognize ourselves in Adam and Eve, watch in sadness as Cain defies God, laugh at the arguments between Noah and his wife as they embark on their rickety ark, enjoy the slapstick of the shepherds as they journey from your part of the world to a reverent meeting in Bethlehem and conclude with joyous cast-and-audience caroling. It's an evening of warm sharing for all ages.
